B i o g r a p h y

I am grateful for receiving classical training from my piano teacher p. Viera Kalivodová in Slovakia starting at the age of 6.

However, my very first experiences with music take me back to the age of 3,5 years. I was singing in choir Melódia which was an internationally recognized choir with regular performances in Slovakia, Czechia, France, Italy, Poland and California in the USA.

This has built up my music foundation which I decided to expand on when I lived in Denmark at age 16 and when I moved to the UK afterwards. Recently I am based in Berlin (since 2019).

I started to compose my own pieces 10 years ago  inspired by travelling, societal issues and biographies of people who I had a chance to get to know personally. I love to spread the beauty of music through teaching.

My performances take place internationally at different cultural events in Germany, Denmark, England, Czech Republic, Slovakia.

I released my first piano solo album X Minor in 2021 which I presented at Slovak Embassy in Berlin.

I love combining playing piano with singing and vocalizing my true feelings. In 2024 I released my EP Immer:sing.

My old classical repertoire was mainly focused on the romantic, and late romantic era, particularly Chopin and Rachmaninov. I particularly enjoy performing jazz standards such as Fly Me to the Moon, Autumn Leaves, and When You’re Smiling, either accompanying myself at the piano or collaborating in a duo setting with instrumental accompaniment.

I am influenced by contemporary music composed by Philip Glass, Ennio Morricone, Michael Nyman, Emika, Max Richter, Nils Frahm & Yann Tiersen. I enjoy playing some classical jazz pieces from George Gershwin and Friedrich Gulda as well as improvising.
